Karamea Radio got rocked today. I did a set of songs that have something, at least tangentially to do with family. Here is the set list, and a download link.

i was so nervous. i have no idea what i was talking about during most of it. and of course, there is the obligatory screw up at the beginning.
the quality isn't that great, b/c it is radio that has been reformatted a few times to make it usable.

Aside from the tracks listed above, there is the sweet family matters theme song and rage against the machine's bulls on parade. Both of which I played from youtube.

random rugby in Ngakawau

i was driving from westport to karamea and i head along the way there was a local rugby game. of course i stopped to partake in a NZ tradition- the watching of rugby. the town's name is pronounced "nacker-wall". go figure.

for the last few days i've been in Karamea at the rongo backpackers.
