i wish i still had my hawk.

i'm not saying that someone who wants to travel the world and learn about people has to have a mohawk. but i am saying that someone who lives and dies in nacogdoches doesn't have a mohawk. so... maybe if i did have one, that subset of people who live and die in nac wouldn't include me.

i can write a post every day for a month. i hope i can write at least on every two days without the lure of fame and fortune that NaBloPoMo offers. but it will be a good way to get started on my journey.

i am confidant that in two years i will be in europe. the only thing that can stop me is:
me.
stupid ties to material possession or people that don't care.
mom, dad, jo being sick/dying
the eventual ww3 that america will start

possible possessions taken on the trip:
shoes
a really kickass backpack
laptop (maybe a different one in two years... interesting. i had'nt thought about that yet)
psp/music/video player
beard trimmer
dynamo jersey
pocket knife
small books

the only thing i've ever done that has taken more than a few months of planning is the 4 years of school, and that wasn't really any of my doing. i just signed up. kind of a set it and forget it thing. this project could easily fall victim to the following states:
pipe dream
financial imprudence
a once liked fad
i'm in jail
forgotten

starting now will set me on the path of righteousness. i will have time to build it into an empire of thought and desire. my mind's river will be *damned by its ever growing presence and no one will be able to stop it.
also it will give me time to make that paper.


* damned as in blocked/unable to circumvent. not cursed. i don't want to curse myself dammit.
