why watch shrek so much?

christine: sad, but true.
have you seen i am legend?
me: yes. too scary for me
christine: me too!!!!!!!!!
i recognized that it was a smart and well done film, but damn i wanted it to be over fast.
and his dog! i cried. outloud. very embarrassing.
me: yeah, i was with a bunch of dog people when i saw it too
after the movie, as with all movies, i wanted to discuss with my friends the movie
i hate going to see movies as a social thin
g
because you dont fucking socialize at all
no talking. and no one even sits through the credits to see the bit at the end. (80% of movies have bits at the end)
anyway, so i'm trying to get them to talk about the movie but all they want to do is talk about how the dog died.
and how that didn't have to happen.
christine: well, it kind of did have to happen.
but go on...
me: EXACTLY!
jesus died and we got on with that
christine: hahahahaha
me: tragedy is a part of movies, and movies are fucking fiction. it is cool that you cried, i'm all for feeling sorry for that dog.
it was a smart dog
but you prefaced your comment with an opinion about the movie
so i kept on trying to get them to talk about the fucking movie.
couldn't do it. they just couldn't fucking do it
christine: you know what was most scary and not at all talked about?
me: how he knew so much of shrek
christine: that the zombie-vampire thing, which was supposed to have no human qualities left, watched will smith and learned how to booby trap him
