to celebrate my reduced state of desire, i went out and bought a bunch of shit.
at the local army navy store:
- khaki BDUs. BDU, not that i have to tell you, means Battle Dress Uniform. i got the khaki ones, and i regret not getting the forest cammo ones. i used to have a pair and they were fucking so badass. i don't know what i was thinking.
- boonie hat. fuckin sweet. my face has a few more features than this guy, but he still wears it well.
- i also picked up one of these. i've been eyeing them on ebay and i must say that it is more sweet and much lighter than i thought it would be. and once i get my hands on more cord, i'll make some more.
- i got some wool/cotton socks too. i'm not googling those for an image.
ok, the above items are mostly for a archaeology job i have coming up. the bracelet is for any emergency ever. well. one where 9-10 feet of rope is going to help.
next i got some stuff for camping. thanks to Arum, one of jojo's coolest friends, i have had a gift card that let me get these items for a steal! a steal i tell you!
- i can't wait to test this out. just got it to make the gift card math work. but i'm sure it will be fun to cook with jacob.
- this one is for me. i'll fight anyone who tries to mess with my pad thai.

i'm super excited about this cool stuff. i also ordered a head lamp from ebay. and i have my pack to carry it all in. next on the list is:
before you get any ideas, these are all things i need to buy myself. i know, i know. you just want to buy them for me and make me happy. i know. but i have to make sure i get the right stuff. hopefully on the cheap. so just send money. like you did for christmas! thanks!
