heavy man. heavy.

read this first.

ok. so the total for EVERYTHING on that list is over 44 pounds. or 20 kilograms.
but keep in mind that not everything on that list is going hiking with me.
also (sadly for my back and feet) keep in mind that this only covers 4 liters of water. which is enough for one day.
it also includes items with their empty weight.

so let me do the math and do some google spreadsheet magic to determine an actual pack weight. but still. 44 lbs is not a bad starting point....kinda..

ok. i have the pure hiking load down to 26ish pounds. that is 12 kilos.
but sadly, that isn't clothing. clothing total (without boots) is 14 pounds and around 7 kilos. but i'll be wearing some of that anyway. some of it will stay in the hostel. it just depends. the
boots will be pretty heavy. my steel toed ones that i'm not taking weigh 1400 grams, or 3 pounds. obviously, the nice hiking boots/shoes whatever i get won't be that much.

ok. i'm gonna put all this stuff in the bag. keep in mind that i don't have a lot of things, stuff sacks and compression sacks especially, so it won't be a very even load, or a well packed one. but i want to see what i'm dealing with.

here goes.

ok. here's a video.
boom.

but hey! at least after a long day of drinking/eating 4 liters of water the bag will be almost 9 pounds lighter!
